RMHC HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE

In the spirit of spreading acts of kindness this holiday season, Cheetah's for Change organized a Holiday Gift Drive to support the RMHC (Ronald McDonald House Charity) here in Halifax. Many families spend their time at RMHC houses while their children are receiving treatment and care at the IWK and many other hospitals around Canada. By providing them with some of the items and gifts on their wish list, we hoped to help give them a home away from home. We had publicized RMHC's wish list to our school, as well as encouraged donations of items ranging from toys to kitchen supplies, as well as cash and gift cards. We placed collection boxes around our school for two weeks, and collected cash donations from classrooms twice a week. We were able to collect a box filled with items as well as $240 in donations.
